Education

Thorough education comes with time and opportunity. Continuous daily instruction is an incredible , growing experience ”  Ida

Participant’s training sessions are not clocked 45 minute sessions. Time is taken with each horse and Participant.  One of the activities  Participants are asked to work on  is  to develop a work/training schedule for each horse.  This skill  is necessary for rider/trainers to go on with their work at home unsupervised. Riders advance  easily with clear instruction given  concerning the aids for every movement.   Having the opportunity to work closely in a small group allows  riders/trainers  to form  friendships and bonds that  often last well past their time together  in Florida under Ida’s tutelage.

Welcome to Another Day in Paradise at the

Florida Dressage Experience Program

Darly Oaks has a beautiful covered arena , good footing, safe stalls and wonderful turnout…. A Mecca for horses and a supportive serene atmosphere for the rider/trainers.

Getting away from it all .. to it all…. Is the key. Many riders tell me that being able to focus on their education and leave behind their daily roles as, mom, wife, care-givers etc. frees them up to learn and be nourished. “ Ida

Every  year we have some participants who want to go showing; some want to concentrate on training.

We  arrange a number of shows that we will be attending so that the clients can join in and  hone  experience. Those that go showing are coached and groomed in test riding and show strategy.  Having the opportunity to actually have  Ida  go with them to a competition and coach them, as well as walk them though procedures and warm-ups specifically for them and a specific horse, is often a huge key to success in the show ring.

Other clients like to join in just to go to  the shows to cheer the other riders on and observe the techniques without being “in the hot seat”.  Rest time is spent ringside watching performances together so that the participants train their eyes to the judges point of view with Ida’s help

Our Florida training sessions are unique.  We can accommodate your schedule from 3 weeks to 4 months.  Please contact us to join this opportunity!
