Florida Dressage Experience Program —The first days of the season have been exciting here at The Florida Dressage Experience Program. FDEP brought the first” horse” for expecting parents
Amanda and Rob Wickes ( baby girl due in February) . Meagan Miller of Tennessee, Sue Ash of Canada and Louisa Mckeon as well as assistant Erika Wollf have started the season strong here, with Mark Norris assisting the program this year.
Wow!!!! Bo Jena with us to work ALL the horses yesterday! So much good work! Thanks Bo!
A wonderful change is about to occur in our lives! Mark and I closed on a lovely small horse farm 503 Mill Pond Road, Benson VT. Yesterday. On conservancy land it overlooks a 20 acres pond. The seven stall stable has a two horse over-flow with outdoor riding ring with good footing and great drainage and lovely hay fields with good pastures. .The view from the house goes for miles with no houses in sight.
Mark will retire from The paper industry and become a self employed electrician and horse trailer repair. His favorite asphalt race tracks are much closer so he will be able to race a good deal more. In addition Mark and I will continue with the Florida Dressage Experience Program wintering in Palm city Florida. We are sad to leave our Farmington, Maine family and friends but excited to start this new adventure!!! Special thanks to Windswept Acres for their great care of our horses as we make this transition! Erika Wolff my assistant will make the move and continue her dressage studies and college in the Vermont area. We are so pleased to have her with us!
We will be open for business and haul-in lessons at 503 Mill Pond Road facility August 15. We hope many of you will drop in to visit and see the place if you are nearby. I will look forward to traveling around Vermont and New York getting to know more folks and doing lessons at other stables so give me a call! Ida 207-578-011.. text works great as the cell phones are really funky in Vermont!
